Mary W Stoertz Memorial Scholarship  
 
Because Mary had such love, passion and commitment to her work as an associate professor in Geological Sciences at Ohio University, and to her students, this endowed Scholarship will provide Ohio University geology students funds to support their ongoing education. Once endowed, the Mary W. Stoertz Memorial Scholarship will allow Mary's memory and her dedication to her life-long work to live on for generations to come on a yearly basis.

The Hocking River Commission was founded in 1991 to serve as a nonprofit spokesgroup for the preservation of the scenic Hocking River, through education, stewardship and promotion of river-corridor recreation.

The Sunday Creek Watershed Group, sponsored by Rural Action, is a non-profit organization promoting social, economic and environmental justice in Appalachian Ohio, focusing on the area of the Sunday Creek Watershed.
 
Monday Creek Restoration Project
 
The Monday Creek Restoration Project is a partnership committed to improving the health of the Monday Creek watershed for the benefit of the community.
 
Good Works
 
Good Works, Inc is a COMMUNITY OF HOPE for those struggling with poverty in rural Appalachia. They provide biblical hospitality through The Timothy House (a shelter for the rural homeless), The Hannah House (a long term residential care-community), job experience programs, creative volunteer service opportunities and community development ministries in the context of Christian Community.
